Microsoft IE-Free Fridays Campaign

In support of fairness and freedom on the internet, and to encourage keeping it browser-independent, I've made my web site Microsoft IE-Free on Fridays. I encourage my visitors to use any browser except MSIE if they want to access my web pages on a Friday.

There is also a good Washington Post article that suggests towards other good reasons not to use Internet Explorer as your regular browser:  For Windows Users, 'Browser Hijacking' Is Only the Latest Threat (3/1/04)

Click here to download a different free browser:
Windows/Mac/Linux (Netscape) or Windows/Mac/Linux (Moziila) or Windows (Opera)

How's about a non-Microsoft, totally FREE Office Suite-- that works with Microsoft Office Documents!...
OpenOffice

Or for you Windows users who are up to trying a completely different OS...
Redhat's Fedora Project, Lycoris, or Lindows

Finally, you also can simply buy a low-cost PC that is already Microsoft-free...
Wal-Mart's Microtel/Lycoris PCs

Here's the javascript code to cut & paste between the tags of your own web pages if you want to participate in the campaign

(If your browser has JavaScript disabled, you will have to manually highlight and copy (CTRL-C) the following code):
Remember to create a FreeFriday.html page (you can copy the source of this one for a template)

And here's a pretty lame button I made to advertise the "MS IE-Free Fridays" campaign:

I got the idea for IE-Free Fridays from this chap
